KittyCalcs was born at 2 a.m. It started as a simple spreadsheet for our three cats—Pickles, Mango, and Luna. Back then the internet was full of memes but almost no clear, vetted numbers on calories, portion sizes, medicine doses, or growth milestones. So we dug into veterinary‑nutrition textbooks, cross‑checked peer‑reviewed papers, and built the first calculator for ourselves.

Every tool you see here was stress‑tested on our trio first, then reviewed by the vets who kindly tolerate our endless questions. Friends and fellow cat parents tried the beta versions, flagged edge cases, and helped us simplify the inputs so anyone can get a reliable answer in under a minute.

We’re still a three‑human, three‑cat household—no venture funding, no hidden agenda. The calculators remain free because we need them too. If they help you skip a midnight panic‑search and keep your whiskered pal healthy, we’ve done our job.
